About Me

I grew up in Seattle, Washington, attended the University of Washington, then had a more than 20 year career in research administration. It was at UW that I discovered my passion for helping people.

I have worked in a variety of positions from accounting intern to a department Director, and over the years, I managed accounting and customer service teams and participated on cross-functional efforts to collaborate and improve processes for customers.

The world of research administration is always changing so managing change is a skill that is used on a daily basis. Managing change effectively became key to help teams and manage the work to respond to growth and increasing customer demands.

In a recent major financial system implementation, I created communication plans and strategies for internal and external audiences. This included creating training plans and materials, delivering those trainings, and creating process documents that aligned with new and changing organizational policies.

I have 14 years of experience using Lean process improvement principles I learned how to do more with the same, or fewer, staff and resources. I’ve coached and managed dozens of teams to create systems and manage their time and resources to meet their goals.
